The Carleton Chronicle
A weekly update from Carleton Middle School.
Extravaganza
Students this week were able to experience another Extravaganza at Carleton Middle School with open gym, dancing, bingo, a photo booth, and plenty more to engage them for a short while after school. Be sure to check out some of the pictures below. Also, a huge thanks to Ms. Juronoc, Ms. Lenz, and our Booster Club for putting on such a great event for our students.
Also, students successfully completed their first week of WIDA testing and were able to demonstrate their understanding of the English language on the listening and reading tests. Over the next few weeks, we will be completing the writing and speaking tests. I wish the students well on these portions!
Lastly, check out the attachment sent along with the Chronicle for Kindergarten Round-up. If you, or someone you know, has a youngster that is about to start kindergarten, please be sure to check out the included flyer.

Girls' BB Team
The 7th and 8th grade girls' basketball team has been hard at work with before and after school practices. Their skills, technique, and awareness of the game is improving and we are looking forward to our first official contest on the court. Mr. Borja and Mr. Heitkamp are the two coaches and are really working the girls hard on defense, conditioning, and the basics of the game to get them ready for their first game.
We hope you are able to check out an away game or one of our home games in the near future. Good luck girls and remember to REACH for your best on and off the court!
Ski and Snow Board Club
Well now that the weather has turned colder, our Ski and Snow Board Club is up and running. Forms for Friday night ski outings are available in the main office. A bus is provided and discounted lift tickets are available for those interested in skiing or snowboarding. Equipment rentals are also available with this program. Please visit the main office for more information or contact Robyn Ringl at (586) 615-9948.
See you on the slopes!
