National Teacher Appreciation Week - #ThankATeacher
Our students receive a great education because our teachers "deliver" inspiration, knowledge, motivation, and dedication! Sponsored by the National PTA and the National Education Association, May 4–8 is National Teacher Appreciation Week. #ThankATeacher for delivering an outstanding education to your student. Find ways to thank a teacher on their website.
Great way to thank a teacher is to make them a sign or card and show them on your next Zoom meeting!

Counselor Updates
Lincoln parents,
We are now in Week 6 of distance learning. I’m guessing many of you have gotten into a new daily routine by now, which is great. Having a routine and making a list of things to get done each day help reduce anxiety, as well as give us purpose for the day. Now that we know we are continuing distance learning for the remainder of the school year, you may be seeing some strong emotions in your children. This is a hard time with limited socialization, our ending of the school year looks very different than we are used to, especially for our 5th graders. Let your children know it’s ok to feel sad, disappointed, angry. Listen and help them process their feelings. I am going to share some great online Social Emotional Learning (SEL) tools that are great to do every day or every week to help your child regulate their emotions and cope with uncomfortable feelings appropriately. It’s something the entire family can do together and it only takes a few minutes.

They will be going back to work on May 11th with a lean crew to maintain social distancing guidelines. They will be letting us know scheduling updates when they can and they have a better idea on production time lines.
If the products come in before the end of school year- Lincoln staff will help get these distributed to families. If the products are shipped after the end of the school year PTA will help get these products to families.
