November Newsletter 2020
Amy Belle Elementary
Principal Corner
Dear Amy Belle Families,
The weather definitely feels like fall! We have settled into our new schedules this month and look forward to doing some of our typical fall traditions in new ways. Fall celebrations took place in-person and virtually for students this past week. It was wonderful to be able to provide fun experiences for them in this different time!
Conferences
The teaching staff had a lot of positive feedback regarding virtual conferences! We hope that being able to attend from home worked well for you and your family. It is important that teachers and parents meet to discuss student progress as well as any concerns that might be present. Working as a team on behalf of our students increases their success! We look forward to continually sharing student growth with you throughout the year.
Character Education
We had our first Belle Fest through Google Meet this week. This first attempt was recorded to share with our virtual students. Although there were some rough spots, overall it went very well. We were able to hear our school song and continued learning about and practicing empathy. Students worked through some school examples, discussing how they could show empathy. We will do another Belle Fest this month on November 24th at 9:30. This will be a recorded assembly that will be shared with all classes. Our focus for November will be responsibility.
We are thankful for all of our Amy Belle families! Your support for our staff is greatly appreciated as we navigate this school year!
Respectfully,
Katie Kohel
