Build Skills Every Day
Little interactions every day can add up to a BIG foundation for learning.
- Talk: Observe the plant life in your yard or on a walk. Talk about what you see and how the plants are changing with the changing of seasons.
- Sing: Blow bubbles and sing a popping song while your child POPS! Make up your own, or sing the song below. (Bonus: the song we've provided includes colors and counting!)
- Read: Choose a favorite book and ask your child to "read" it to you this time! Encourage her by talking about the pictures.
- Write: Farmer's Market is back! Make a list with your child and have him cross off each item as you shop.
- Play: Find a "toy" outside! Roll a pinecone back and forth or dig in the dirt with a stick. Count rocks and then place them in order from smallest to largest.
Go Ahead... Sing!
Bubble, Bubble, Bubble, Bubble, POP!
One little red fish swimming in the water,
Swimming in the water, swimming in the water.
One little red fish swimming in the water,
Bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, POP!
Add in hand motions!
Additional verses: Two little blue fish, three little yellow fish
