archaeological sites(historic landmarks)

Sites that had to do with the founding of our nation, or sites that tell us of past occurrences should be preserved and marked as historical landmarks so they wont be destroyed.

The Antiquities Act was the first law to establish that archaeological sites on public land are important public resources and where the President could set aside those historic landmarks by designating them as National Monuments. Though later replace by The Archaeological Resource Protection Act as a stronger measure "...to secure, for the present and future benefit of the American people, the protection of archaeological resources and sites...(sec.2(4)(b))
