What's happening at HGECC?
March is here!
We wrapped up an amazing Messy Night family event last month (check out some pictures on our website!), and Community Screenings last week. It's been a busy start so far!
This month we are looking forward to warmer weather so that we can get outside and play in the sunshine. It is so important for our kids to have fresh air (and the grown ups too!). When we are outside, we aren't just playing....we are growing, stretching, developing our big motor skills by climbing and running, hand-eye coordination while we dribble our basketballs, and even working on our social skills! We work on how to share, take turns, and include each other in our play. It is such an important time for us!
Spring Break is around the corner already, and we will be missing your kids for that week! During that time away, try to find time to go to a local park or grocery store. Talk about what you are seeing, what colors, shapes, and textures you are noticing. If you are shopping for groceries, have your child hold the list and help you get things off the shelf. These are also amazing learning opportunities for our little ones.
It's going to be another fantastic month of learning! This is the time of year we start to see so much growth with our students. I know you are probably starting to notice some of the gains they have made at home as well!
Make sure you check out your child's teacher's website for pictures, resources, and updates on what is happening in their classrooms! Go to www.hgecc.grandviewc4.net, click on "about us", then go to "teachers and staff". Find your teacher's name and click on their website. The teachers love to have you visit their sites!
If you ever have any questions at all, please feel free to call or email me. I am always happy to meet with you!
