ASSESSMENT ~ CAASPP testing registration continues! If you haven’t already registered your scholar for state testing, there’s still time. Visit your Parent Scholar Portal to register for their required tests.
ENERGY BUS ~ Energy Bus tip of the week: Drive with a purpose is the theme for March! Be purposeful in your interactions with others.
EXPOSITORY WRITING BOOT CAMP ~ All 3-5-grade scholars are invited to join Ms. Villages in her Virtual Classroom every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 3 pm for an Expository Writing Boot Camp!

PHYSICAL FITNESS TESTING ~ The physical fitness testing for scholars is continuing through May! This month, scholars can complete their physical tests by joining our Scholar Fitness Challenge. Let’s get up, get moving and enter for a chance to win a prize!
SCIFEST SOCAL ~ All of our scholars are invited to attend the Clippers’ SciFest SoCal Expo next Friday, March 22 to Saturday, March 23. Scholars will enjoy exciting hands-on STEM learning activities and be inspired to someday pursue a career as a STEM professional! Admission is free for this event but registration is required. VENDOR RELATIONS
You are invited to Lighthouse Players’ Winter Showcase of The Wizard of Oz on March 25 at 6pm in Vista! They hope this will give local homeschoolers an idea of what the culmination of their Musical Theatre Showcases looks like. Spring session begins April 1 and will focus on the ever-popular Mary Poppins. They also offer enrichment and visual art classes. Remember to register here join Lighthouse Players for their Winter Showcase.

Essentials in Writing supports you in teaching your scholar successful writing techniques, and they would like to share this video so that you can learn more about their curriculum.

FEATURED COUNSELING SERVICES WORKSHOPS/PRESENTATIONS ~
Virtual Counseling Presentation: High School March Madness Series "Slam Dunking Enrollment in Community College" this Wednesday, March 13 from 12pm-1pm. This presentation will provide high school seniors a step by step walkthrough of the community college enrollment process. Ms. Olson and Mrs.Gonzalez are looking forward to sharing this information with you!
MULTI -TIERED SYSTEMS OF SUPPORTS (MTSS) ~ To guide learning coaches and scholars in supporting CCS’ Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework, the Counseling Services Department will provide a weekly tip on various academic, behavioral and social emotional strategies. This week’s tip is focused on introducing MTSS by viewing this short video from Illuminate Education. LEARNING COACH RESOURCE ~ Autism and Visual Supports:
Powerful Strategies for School, Home, and the Community: As most scholars with autism are visual learners, they benefit from the consistent use of customized visual supports. This webinar, this Thursday, March 14 at noon, will explore three categories of visual supports: Visual Instruction (adapting instruction so it is presented visually), Visual Organization (using visuals to organize activities and daily schedules), and Visual Expression (using visuals to facilitate expressive communication).
