Message From Your Leadership Team
Happy Snow Day!!!
We will make the call at 2:00 PM today (Friday, February 7th) regarding the Frozen Jr. Musical scheduled for tonight at 7:00 PM. If the hourly forecast remains the same (with the snow tapering off by 4:00 PM) the show will go on as planned. An email and update on our facebook page will be sent out around 2:00 PM today with the final decision. Tomorrow's Frozen Jr. performances will go on as planned with shows at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Tickets are available at the door for all performances. We hope to see you at the show!
Hopefully you were able to access your child's report card and have conversations with your child(ren) about their progression towards meeting grade level standards, learner behaviors, CARE behaviors and their personal goals for improvement in all areas.

Message From The Health Office
“Tis The Season” for winter illnesses!
The decision to keep your child home from school is not always clear cut. Most often your child will do fine in school with a little encouragement! Here are some guidelines to use in determining whether your child should stay home.
Any condition you think or know is contagious to others.
Fever greater than 100.4 orally. Your child should remain out of school until temperature is less than 100.4 for 24 hours without fever reducing medication.
Your child is too ill, sleepy or lethargic to sit and learn.
Sore throat with fever or lethargy - consult a physician
Honey-crusted sores around the nose or mouth - consult a physician
Headache with fever - consult a physician
Severe ear pain or drainage from the ear - consult a physician
Red eye with itching AND drainage - consult a physician
If your child receives a diagnosis of strep throat, they need to be on antibiotic therapy for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
When calling in an absence it is very helpful to indicate the reason. For example stating strep throat or vomiting is helpful to the nurse for tracking illnesses, stating “sick” gives no significant information.
As always if you have any questions please feel free to call the health office at 670-4054.
