Professional Development Opportunity
Beginning this year, the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation is pleased to partner with Fund for Teachers to offer grants for pK-12 teachers’ self-designed professional development. This grant represents a unique opportunity for teachers to determine the trajectory of their teaching and their students learning.
More than 7,500 teachers have leveraged Fund for Teachers fellowships into classroom- and career-changing experiences. Whether one identifies as relevant a seminar across town or an odyssey across the sea, the goal is to bring back knowledge and experiences that elevate education. Last year, nine Ohio teachers pursued chemistry and culture, practiced mindfulness and sustainability and researched the French Revolution and global warming. What will you learn? Where will you learn it?
The first step in creating a grant proposal for Fund for Teachers is visiting its Application Learning Center, replete with resources to assist you. The second step is to register for a webinar hosted by the organization specifically for Ohio teachers; you can register for this December 13th event by clicking here. In the interim, let these FFT Fellows inspire you to think big and begin your proposal – due by January 31, 2018.
