QUOTE FOR THE PRINCIPAL'S JOURNEY

UPDATE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, Clark Mershon
URGENT ALERT
One of the most critical aspects of an association is to advocate for its members. Contact your state senator today in OPPOSITION to SB649, SB525, and SB581. There is a good chance these bills will be debated in the days ahead on the Senate floor. We need you to send an email to your official who represents you and also post to social media. Phone2Action streamlines this process for you. CLICK HERE for details of the bills, talking points, and how to connect with your senator. If you choose, you can modify the message to make it more personal. I personalized the email to my senator in this way.
I live in your district. Thank you for your public service and for representing us in Jefferson City. I am the Executive Director of the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals. We serve about 1,400 middle school and high school principals in Missouri. Thank you for taking the time to consider my view and the position of MoASSP.
Take a moment and reach out to your senator today. You can also share the link with your staff, family, and friends.
NASSP NATIONAL PRINCIPALS CONFERENCE
Today is your last day to save $75 for the NASSP National Principals Conference. Visit www.principalsconference.org for more information. Register today with PROMO CODE NEWYEAR20.
DON'T FORGET YOUR SCHOOL COUNSELORS
National School Counseling Week 2020 is next week. This year's theme is "School Counselors: Helping Build Better Humans," which helps focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors. Take time next week during your announcements and staff meetings to express your appreciation for the essential role they provide in the life of your school. Host a lunch in their honor. Whatever you do, they will appreciate it.
