Responding to COVID-19 & Spring Break Travel
~Mrs. Fadeji
*****
Good afternoon Petaluma City Schools Community,
Spring break is just around the corner! Without question, this has been a challenging year and we want to thank all of our students, families, and staff for working closely with us as we continue to navigate through 2019-20.
With impending travel approaching, we would like to provide some information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on travel. Please take all necessary precautions to protect yourselves and our community from the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and any illness.
Depending on your travel history, you may be asked to stay home for a period of 14 days from the time you left an area with widespread or ongoing community spread. Any absence due to quarantine or illness will be excused.
You can find the most current information on the CDC website.
- CDC Coronavirus Information
- CDC Information for Travel
- CDC - Countries with Widespread Sustained (Ongoing) Transmission
Our top priority is always the health and safety of our community—a responsibility we take seriously as we follow the lead of public health experts. We continue to develop contingency plans should community transmission scenarios change and will provide updated information as appropriate.
Thank you
More Life Skill Winners!
Inclusion Assembly
On Thursday, March 5th a local non-profit, Just Two Moms, presented their second Inclusion Assembly at Penngrove. They talked with students about acceptance and inclusion of all people. Plus the Just Ask! book by Sonia Sotomayor's was read. This book uses the analogy of the various plants and flowers growing in a garden and what makes them different is also what makes them beautiful.
Teachers sent home a letter with your student, but in case you missed it, here it is again. Thanks to the FOPPTA all students received a Kindness Matters backpack tag and all classroom received a copy of the Just Ask! book.
