Connecting with others is so important. For kids, healthy relationships provide reassurance, security, stability, joy, belonging, and trust. As a family, share some people who are in your support systems (family members, friends, peers/colleagues, neighbors, etc.). Discuss the importance of having people to talk to – everyone needs help sometimes!

A Little Letter from the Librarian

My name is Michelle Brady. I’m new to the library but not to Sand Springs. All four of my boys have attended this amazing school. I love books and I love the students at Sand Springs, so the library is a perfect fit. I am currently working on getting my own children’s book published, that I both authored and illustrated! This past weekend I got to meet one of my author heroes—Jennifer A. Nielsen. She is amazing and I highly recommend her Ascendency Series. The first book is the False Prince. Come find it or another of her books in the library!
