ThingLink
First things first ...
Once you are in, click on Students and scroll down to create a group. Give it a name and click Create Group. On the next page, under the group name, click Manage Group. In the middle, you'll see an invite code. Write down that code so your students can create accounts!
Student Accounts ...
Now for the app ...
Open the app and tap "Already have an email account? Log in." Log in with your username and password. (Students will do the same thing on their iPad!)
Make Your Own ThingLink
On the Edit Image page - you can tap anywhere you want to add a trigger. Decide if you want to add text (this also includes a URL!) or Media (photo or video from Camera Roll).
The Media portion of this is powerful for students because they can add videos made in other apps (that are saved to their Camera Roll) and create a portfolio or study guide!
This is powerful for a teacher - save center directions as an image and add to a ThingLink with a URL, video and other directions for students!
The possibilities are endless!
Sharing Your ThingLink / Students Turning in their ThingLink
Once the loading image is complete, tap the picture to access the ThingLink. Tap the Export button at the bottom (third one - box with arrow on it). Tap COPY and go into the NOTES app and press and hold to paste the URL for your ThingLink. You can make a QR code to that URL so your students can access. OR ... tap the Export button at the bottom and tap Mail. It'll open up the Mail app to email the URL. To receive credit for this App Challenge - email Renee and Ann your URL.
Students can share their ThingLink the same as above ... but they have an additional possibility of saving it to your Class Channel. Once the loading image is complete, tap the picture to access the ThingLink. Tap the pictures button at the bottom (first image - looks like 2 photos) and they can tap on your Class Channel and then DONE.
