Standard:
I can determine the main idea and supporting details of what I am reading.
- Students will be reviewing various passages to determine the topic, topic sentence, main idea, and supporting details. We will also be taking the Main Idea post test on Wednesday. We will begin looking at various famous Afican Americans to research. We will be discussing how to take notes, cite sources, and make a bibliography page.
Assignments to be Completed this week:
Review work on main idea and daily practice of sacred writing and Edmentum.
Please make sure students are reading each day for 30 minutes.

ELO 7: Students will be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals.
What will be learning? We will continue working on dividing decimals. Make sure you know the difference between sum, difference, product and quotient.

- Monday: 5.11 Dividing Numbers that result in decimals, practice problems
- Tuesday: 5.12 Dividing decimals by whole numbers, practice problems
- Wednesday: 5.13 Dividing decimals by decimals, practice problems

Standards:
- Student can describe the advancements of a civilization and its legacy
What we will be Learning:
Students will begin exploring the civilizations of Ancient Greece. The focus will be on the government types of Oligarchy and Democracy by learning of the cities of Sparta and Athens, and the achievements of Alexander the Great.
