Willow Way’s Theory of Action:
IF we use on-going data to inform instruction and develop learning goals, co-constructing criteria and provide descriptive feedback to scaffold and support learning.
THEN our students will be more engaged and communicate their thinking.
Learning Goal:
Students will be able to communicate their mathematical thinking and learning using mathematical vocabulary.
Success Criteria:
Students will use the vocabulary in their subject area to explain what they are currently doing.
Students will be able to connect what they are doing to the Learning Goal (curriculum based). (Learning Goals visible in classrooms in all subjects.)
Students will be using descriptive feedback to improve their own work.
Students will be able to give descriptive feedback to and receive descriptive feedback from their peers.
