Week of December 7, 2015
Hello Parents/Guardians!
This week we will continue Unit 3. We will also continue on our in-class Expository Essay. We will work as a class to develop and improve our writing skills by identifying and practicing import grammar and punctuation skills. We will be implementing a new program called Texas Writing Coach to help with these skills. I believe strengthening these skills will not only help students improve their writing but also improve their reading skills as well and will help prepare them for the 7th STAAR expectations. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Parents,
I ask that over the holiday break, you have your child read for a minimum of 30 minutes each day. This can be as simple as reading a magazine or a book from the library. Encouraging your child to read will help develop their love for reading and make them even more successful. Thank you for your continued support!
