October 1, 2020 Home and School Connection
Parent and Teacher Conferences
On October 9, 2020, we will host our annual Fall Parent and Teacher Conferences. They are earlier this year in an effort to communicate how the year has begun for our students and any goals or expectations for the rest of the trimester. All conferences will take place virtually using Zoom. Students in Grades 5-8 will not have school on October 9th, but may attend the morning at school where they can work on homework, watch a movie, etc. Cohorts will remain socially distanced, will be required to wear a mask and may bring a snack. All students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM and there will be no after school care.
We will be using the signup genius platform to schedule the conferences.

To accommodate the needs of our students, we will give first sign ups to students who will meet with the Middle School Team by their request. Remaining slots will be open to students who will meet with their child’s homeroom teacher. If the Middle School Team is requesting a conference, you will receive an email from us with the sign-up link. We ask that you sign up by Friday, October 2, 2020. For students who have not been required to meet with the team, we will open slots on Monday, October 5th.
Thank you for your cooperation!

IMPORTANT - If anyone in your family tests for COVID-19
The reality is that children may be positive with the slightest of symptoms. Always keep our school in your communication.
Just as a reminder: Any Virtual students wishing to come back into the physical classroom must give us a 2 week notice of the move.
If your child is in the school building and would like to move to the virtual school, please let Mrs. Heil know and they may start immediately. Please refer to the above, that once that move is made, they must attend the virtual school for at least 2 weeks.
Any student that is home sick or awaiting test results for themself or a sibling and NOT enrolled in the virtual school may have access to the Zooms classes, but they are still considered absent.
