Magic Club is based around the card game, Magic: The Gathering. Magic: The Gathering is a fun little strategy based card in which you battle either one or multiple opponents with a deck of cards. The Club was originally in 2013 by Mr. Gentle, a former Physics teacher at VA, and Mrs. Riley, the current Latin teacher at VA.

The club has, since its creation, hosted tournaments to help raise money for the William Gentle Memorial Scholarship in honor of Mr. Gentle. Currently they hold meetings every Thursday in Mrs. Riley’s room where they hang out, trade cards, discuss things about Magic, and play one another for fun.

They welcome any newcomers with open arms and teach beginners how to play and all the basics. Mrs. Riley also has a stockpile of cards in her room open to anybody in Magic Club if they would like to create a deck.
