April was another busy month at "The Hive." We have less than two months in the school year and we want to make sure we are ending the year strong! Students continue to progress both academically and socially. We continue to be encouraged by their progress!

Here are a few highlights from April:

• The school kicked off the month by celebrating Autism Acceptance Month.
• We had an awesome time during our April 1/2 Day Celebration painting rocks, playing with bubbles, and helping "Beautify Beachmont."
• Our 3rd and 4th graders took a field trip to Northeastern on April 14th.
• Our 3rd-5th graders completed the ELA MCAS!
• We hosted the Inventors Club Showcase on April 25th
• We hosted a well-attended Parent Coffee on April 27th

During the month of May, we will be sending out a survey to all families to get some feedback on various aspects of your child's experience at the Beachmont. This is invaluable information! We hope to send this out the week of May 22nd and will leave the survey open for several weeks to complete.

There are several events happening in the next two months that will celebrate the hard work of both students and staff. We will celebrate Staff Appreciation Week during the week of May 8th-12th. We are lucky to have such an incredible staff at the Beachmont!

How can I participate?

– Bring food from your culture

– Wear special clothing from your culture

– Create a poster to share interesting information about your culture

This is not a "drop off" event. An adult will need to supervise students, if they plan to attend

We are in the process of planning our end of year PTO BBQ. We are always looking for parent volunteers. Once we have a date confirmed, we will be reaching out to see who can help on that day.
