Campus Vision
At Kyle Elementary, we believe building relationships in a safe environment encourages student engagement, impacts campus morale, and inspires student achievement.
From Mrs. Lucita
Dear KES Families,
It's Week 3 of VIRTUAL Learning! Our students and teachers have done an incredible job adjusting to virtual learning and teaching. Some reminders for our virtual learners at home:
- Keep pets and family members out of the camera view unless asked by teacher
- Unless your student is muted, everyone on the Zoom meeting can hear everything happening in your home - Please be aware of language that is not appropriate for school and make sure your student keeps their mic muted unless speaking
- The camera can see more than your student. Please be mindful of what others in the household are wearing and doing within camera view
- Let your student do the work - assist with technology if needed, but do not answer or help them with the answer. We need to know what your student knows!
This week we will begin online beginning of the year assessments with all students. PLEASE remember we need to know what your student knows and where they are academically. DO NOT help your student. THANK you in advance!
Don't forget we offer curbside breakfast and lunch at the regular cost of a school meal. If you are in need of assistance, please make sure you have completed the online application. Click Here for Free/Reduce Meal Application
Later this week, I will send out Week 4-9 Details through email address on your parent portal
- In Person Schedules
- Arrival and Dismissal Procedures (NEW)
- Virtual Schedule - there will be changes made to the virtual schedule starting Week 4
Together we will make this work and our students will learn! Let's have ANOTHER "Panthasitic" Week!

Child Nutrition
Week 1-3 (9/8-9/25)
- We will be doing curbside service at all campuses and also feeding any students on campus.
- Meals must be tied to a student account and will be charged according to their status.
- Parents/Guardians who choose curbside will be required to have acceptable proof of their student enrollment. Approved forms of proof are student id number, student id card, and official email/letter showing proof of enrollment.
- Students on campus will have to come to the cafeteria to get their breakfast and lunch.
- We will only be serving one selection at breakfast and lunch and the meals will be packaged in to-go “clamshells” or paper bags.
Starting 9/28/20
- We will be serving all students that are on campus and continuing curbside for distance learners.
- Meals must be tied to a student account and will be charged according to their status.
- Parents/Guardians who choose curbside will be required to have acceptable proof of student enrollment. Approved forms of proof are student id number, student id card, and official email/letter showing proof of enrollment.
- Students on campus will have to come to the cafeteria to get their breakfast and lunch.
- We are limiting menu selections. (ie: HS-typical has up to 8 lines with different concepts that would have multiple selections. This we may open fewer lines and each line may have only one selection from the concept. This is still a flexible option and can be adjusted. MS-Typically has up to 6 selections. This year may only be 2 or 3. ES-Typically has 3 offerings and may only have 2 this year.)
- No salad bars will be used. All salad/fruit options will behind the service line and they will be proportioned whenever possible.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and KES Houses
At KES we use a school wide House System. Each staff and student is a member of a House that represents a 7 Mindset and Character Trait. All new students and staff will learn which house they will join during the 1st week of school!
Each month we will focus on a Mindset and Character Trait.
September = Introduction and Review of 7 Mindsets
October = 100% Accountable
November = Attitude of Gratitude
December = Live to Give
January = Everything is Possible
February = Passion First
March = We are Connected
April = The Time is Now
May/June = Review 7 Mindsets
if you wish to purchase House shirts, please use the following link. All new to KES students will receive a House shirt.
