Open Enrollment Info for the 2021/2022 School Year!




Please join Riverside County Office of Education for a unique, no-cost, student-facilitated Mental Wellness Conference hosted by the Riverside County Office of Education, Character Strong and MIKVA Challenge. They will center the conference’s focus on the following outcomes:
Building Understanding: Access to Mental Health Professionals and Resources
Proactive Actions - Remove Barriers so that Students can Thrive
Educator/Parent Supports – Social and emotional learning supports that work in the home/classroom/campus/school community.
Removing Barriers So That Students Thrive…Academically and Social-Emotionally
Dates: March 17, 2021 (Keynote: 30 min Eric Thomas, the Hip Hop Preacher)
3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Student-led breakout sessions
March 19, 2021 (Keynote: 30 min Dorian Murray-Thomas, SHE Wins Inc.)
3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Student-led breakout sessions
March 20, 2021 (Keynote: 30 min Frank Arce, Assistant Superintendent of HR, TVUSD)
10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Student-led breakout sessions
Translation and ASL Services will be provided.

This event is open to all K-12 students, families, and instructional staff. There will be specific student content pertaining to Elementary, Middle, and High School grade levels.
The first 900 students to register and attend all three days of the conference will receive a copy of the book “You Ain’t the Boss of Me” by Eric Thomas, HIP HOP Preacher. They will also be holding a parent raffle for grocery gift cards during the event.

MVA Virtual Clubs!
More information and club schedules will be emailed to you by your HST on Mondays.
There is no need to preregister your students; just show up. Make sure to check out the details regarding each club, so you know whether to gather any needed supplies. However, we have been reassured that if you do not have those supplies on hand; your student can still attend and will still be able to learn and enjoy.

These writer's workshop videos are there for parents and teachers to use starting wherever you would like! If you need advice as to where to begin, feel free to email our amazing writing teacher at writersworkshop@pacificcoastacademy.org.
Then on Tuesdays and Thursdays, you and your student can join in the office hours to go over items! Again, you can email to ask questions or get help, etc.

High School Extras!
Add/Drop Deadline: The deadline to add a course, drop a course, or change curriculum for high school was March 1. Please work closely with your HST to ensure course success.
Military Recruiter Info Session- February 26 @10:30: A recruiter from the U.S Marine Corps will be hosting a zoom information session for our students. The recruiter will present information on the Marine Corp and general information on the other branches of the military. Military Info Session Link

- The UCR Bourns College of Engineering and the UCR MESA Program invites all area kids, families and prospective students to an engaging and informative virtual event, our 2021 Engineering Showcase! Formerly the "Engineering Family Night," the event is an opportunity to inform you all about the college and the exciting things we do. It's a chance to learn about the engineering profession and what it takes to be an engineer. The event is free!
