Senior Students & Parents,
Wow! November has arrived. The ending of the 1st semester is approaching quickly. Please remember to stay focused on coursework, complete assignments and definitely attend tutorials if needed.
With time passing so quickly, it is also important that students continue to work on their plans after high school. Below are some good reminders for November.
Meet college application deadlines.
Watch early decision and scholarship deadlines.
Complete FAFSA.
Take SAT or ACT one more time if needed.
Complete career interest inventories if still making career decisions.
Finalize military commitments if joining one of our military branches.
Please visit with your academic counselor if you have questions. And remember to visit the Monterey Website/Counseling, College & Career Dept.
Verify Your Name for Diplomas!
SENIORS...VERIFY YOUR NAMES FOR YOUR DIPLOMAS & GRADUATION!!!
After the Thanksgiving Break, senior diploma name listings will be posted outside of each alpha counselor office.
Seniors will have until DECEMBER 20TH to verify their diploma name and submit any corrections.
Visit with your alpha counselor should you need to make corrections.

Deadline to sign up for ASVAB Interest Aptitude Exam.

Deadline for LISD online course Winter registration.

LISD online course Winter session.
Early Dedication to Medical Education session two.
November 20th:

November 22nd:
Deadline for Seniors to submit their Prestige photo for the yearbook.

Spring Dual Credit Registration Begins
New this spring... Many CTE courses can be taken for dual credit.
If you are NEW to taking a dual credit course, it is important that ALL necessary documents must be submitted to SPC prior to registering for your classes.
1. You must first start your enrollment process by submitting your application for admissions to SPC: https://apply.southplainscollege.edu/Ellucian.ERecruiting.Web.External/Pages/Welcome.aspx
2. Complete your dual credit early admission enrollment approval form if you have not yet completed one for this school year. This must be signed by your counselor.
3. Submit an official transcript if you have not done so this school year.
4. Submit your TSI compliance scores (TSI, ACT, SAT or STAAR Scores-Algebra I & English II). Visit with your counselor for questions.

Information: Early Dedication to Medical Education (EDME) Sessions are open to anyone who is interested in the medical field.

We will be located at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in the ACB (Academic Classroom Building), room 110.

Welcome April Hollingsworth - Monterey's Admissions Rep. for Texas Tech!
April visits our campus on a weekly basis and meets with students regarding admissions, housing, and TTU general questions. See Mrs. Greaser in the N-R alpha office to sign up for a visit with Mrs. Hollingsworth.
Admitted students can now begin the process of reserving campus housing for the fall 2020 semester.

Scholarship Deadlines:
The priority scholarship deadline is December 1, 2019 for incoming freshmen.

Other Testing Information!
EOC - Retesting opportunity for seniors who still need to pass one or more EOC exams.
Seniors who still need to pass one of the five required EOC tests for graduation will have another opportunity this semester. Counselors are visiting with seniors regarding dates for specific tests still needed. It is crucial that seniors take advantage of this testing opportunity to eliminate the risk of not graduating.
