Math Updates:
Please let us know what support you need in math! We are here to help!
Reading Updates:
This busy time of year is a great time to have students self select books for independent reading. Children are more likely to read and engage in a book that they have chosen themselves.
Set a goal to increase the minutes of independent reading each day, and then celebrate when you make that goal ! Let's finish strong these last few weeks by providing your students with engaging reading and writing opportunities! Let us know how we can support you!
Social & Emotional Updates:
We have made it! Welcome to June. Aileen and I will be walking through your community circles and second step this week. If you have changed your schedule for these two activities, please email me so we can make a schedule.

Updates from Rodney
Updates:
Instruction/PBIS/News/Notes
- Continue to your instructional routines. Think about engaging, fun and rigorous activities. Consider creative writing and project based learning.
- Use your Scholastic News magazines for project based learning and continue your usage of Google and Wixie.
- Consider using our outdoor classroom for writing and science activities. The weather is awesome, so look for incentives that includes going outside. if you take your kids outside, limit the time to 20 minutes.
- Continue your class incentives, positive incentives help to maintain a positive environment and they make you feel better.
- Continue to monitor students at recess.
- I am still working on final plans for the Science Lab. I should have a final plan for room assignments by next week.
- Dianna will be scheduling your Rating Conference.
- Hold on, you are doing a great job..
Report Cards
- In order to give me time to check Report Cards, I have a personal request. Can you turn in your Report Cards by Wednesday, June 12th by close of business? I have a promotion to attend on Thursday and I will be leaving early on Friday. I would prefer to not give you back your Report Cards on Monday Morning. I will be giving you time on Tuesday to complete Articulation Cards and grading.
Staff Shout Outs
- Our staff for assisting during our Shelter-in-Place. Great job...
