3 Stress Relief Activities
Smile & Laughter--Write down 3-5 people/things that make you laugh. As you write them, notice what you feel. Write them again and intentionally smile as you write each one.
Here is a list of some of the benefits of smiling.
Doodling--Using a writing utensil of your choosing, take time to draw circles. The circles can be different sizes. They can be connected, intertwined or separate. Put all of your attention into each circle and remember to breathe. When thoughts arise, acknowledge the thought gently and return your focus to your doodle. You can play peaceful instrumental music and/or set a timer for 1, 5 or 629 minutes if you'd like. :)
Here is a link describing some benefits of doodling.
5-4-3-2-1--Look around and notice 5 things you can see, next identify 4 things you can hear, then 3 things you can feel (ex. shoes on your feet, ring on your finger, etc.), next identify 2 things you can smell, and lastly 1 thing you can taste.
Here is an article describing the activity and benefits.
