Start of Second Semester - Monday is a GOLD DAY (6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th Blocks)
We are excited to start second semester on Monday, January 25th. At this point, if you have chosen face-to-face or virtual your student's enrollment is locked until the end of second semester. We will cannot make changes to enrollment status of students. We appreciate your understanding in this matter, it was challenging developing both face-to-face and virtual options for our students. We are happy that which ever option you chose, your students will be with Fraser teachers who are delivering Fraser Curriculum.
Please read through the following points with your student before school on Monday:
- Students should check PowerSchool for their classes and room numbers- we will not be printing schedules.
- Virtual students need to check Blackboard at 7:30am for their Go To Meeting Links.
- Lockers will not be assigned this year.
- Bathrooms will be locked during passing time to mitigate students gathering. They will be unlocked as soon as class starts.
- Students will be expected to travel from one class to the other without stopping and gathering in the hallways.
- At dismissal we will clear the building. Students may not wait in the school for practice. They will need to leave and then come back for practice and enter through the Athletic Doors only.
- Students are expected to wear masks at all times, unless eating in the cafeteria or the LGI.
- There will be staff and student leaders in the hallways to assist students in finding their classes.
Lunch Procedures
- Lunch Times will be shared in student's 3/8 Block Classes. They will also be posted throughout the building by teacher name.
- Student's lunch time may be different based on your 3rd (Blue Day) and 8th (Gold Day) Block teacher.
- Students will have a designated eating area where their 3/8 block class will eat. These areas will be designated by color and number. For example, a teacher may have Y lunch and be assigned section 4 Green in the cafeteria. That means that ONLY their class will sit in that section.
- Classrooms will be assigned a lunch, section, and area (cafeteria or LGI)
- Students who bring a lunch will go straight to that area and students who are getting a free lunch from the school will go to the hot food area first and then go to their section.
- In order to be able to give enough time to clean between lunches, 9 minutes were moved from SMART and added to Block 3/8. This will allow for 3 minutes between lunches. Students will start to be dismissed 5 minutes before lunch is over so they will have time to use a restroom and make it back to class. This will allow 8 minutes for cleaning.
PSAT 10 Signup - 10th Grade Students ONLY - Deadline 8:00am Monday, January 25th
Dear 10th grade families,
We have decided to offer the opportunity for 10th grade students to take the PSAT 10 on January 26th from 7:30am -11:30am. Students are encouraged to practice for the SAT but this test is not required. Students will be required to take the PSAT 10 on the Spring Testing date in April. A bagged lunch will be provided to 10th grade students who choose to take the PSAT 10 from 11:30-12:00pm. Students will test and eat their lunch in the Auxiliary Gym. Students are required to wear a mask during the test and absolutely no cell phones are allowed in testing. If either of those are violated scores could be compromised. If students are signed up for Virtual, they may attend school during the testing hours. Students will miss their first three hours of their Blue Day classes (Block 1, 2, part of 3). After the test, face-to-face students will go to their 3rd Block class, and attend 4th and 5th block until the end of the day. Virtual students will go home.
In order to sign up for the PSAT 10, please complete the following survey by 8:00am Monday, January 25th. There is no make-up date for this test.

Free Breakfast and Lunch Distribution
- Breakfast will be handed out in the cafeteria ONLY. Students are required to eat their breakfast in the cafeteria, not the classroom. School begins at 7:30am, so breakfast will be available from 7:15am – 7:40am.
- We will still be preparing and distributing meals curbside for the families that have elected to participate in virtual learning.
- Menus will change on January 25th. Please check the website for the menu.
- FREE Lunch and Breakfast will continue through the end of the year.
Gleaners Mobile Food Pantry
Fraser Public Schools will begin hosting Gleaners for a mobile food pantry in the beginning of February. Our first distribution day is scheduled for Thursday 2/4/2021 from 9am – 11am. This is a drive-up service that allows our families to remain in their vehicles and pick-up a box of grocery type items. The Gleaners Mobile Food Pantry will continue bi-weekly until the end of June 2021, pending no closures for inclement weather. Pick-up will take place in the Klein Road parking lot at Fraser High School. Vehicles will have to pass by our district breakfast & lunch distribution location at the cafeteria, so we are strongly encouraging everyone who does not receive meals at their child’s school to take them home!
