Copyright- The exclusive legal right given to the creator to perform, film, record, and to authorize others to do the same

Fair Use- The doctrine that brief excerpts of copyright material may, under certain circumstances, be quoted for purposes such as teaching and research without the need of permission from the copyright holder

Attribution and Creative Commons License

Attribution- The acknowledgement to the creator or copyright holder

Creative Commons License- One of several public copyright licenses that enable the free distribution of an otherwise copyrighted work

Public Domain and Digital Citizenship

Public Domain- The state of belonging to the public as a whole, and therefore not subject to copyright

Digital Citizenship- Concept which helps teachers, technology leaders, and parents to understand what student users should know to use technology appropriately
