A Monthly Resource for Teaching the Faith 9.22
"Being a catechist is not a title; it is an attitude of abiding with Him, and it lasts a lifetime! It means abiding in the Lord's presence and letting ourselves be led by him."
Happy Catechetical Sunday! On September 18, we will celebrate Catechetical Sunday. Your ministry as catechist is invaluable to our faith. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all you do. This year, our staff will pray each month for the Catechists around our diocese. Catechists are priests, parish staffs, formal volunteers, parents, grandparents, godparents and more! There are so many of us that take the responsibility to pass on our faith. Please join us in prayer for your fellow workers in the vineyard!
This month we pray for the Catechists at:
All Saints Parish, Corning
All Saints, Lansing
Church of the Annunciation, Rochester
Church of the Assumption, Fairport
Blessed Sacrament, Rochester
Blessed Trinity Parish, Owego
Blessed Trinity Catholic Community, Wolcott
Cathedral Community, Rochester
Christ the King Church, Irondequoit
Corpus Christi Church, Rochester
Emmanuel Church of the Deaf, Rochester
Church of the Epiphany, Sodus
Shaped by the Source and Summit
This month we provide you with an informative tour of a Catholic Church from RCL Benziger. Knowing our surroundings at Mass, can help us to understand what we are seeing and hearing during the Mass and engage us in deeper communion with Christ and our fellow disciples.
Praying All Ways and ALWAYS!
Family Connection
- Telling Stories
- Celebrating Rituals and Traditions
- Making Loving Choices
- Fostering Domestic Spirituality
- Cultivating Healthy Relationships
- Sharing, Caring and Serving Others
How can your catechetical efforts be intentionally directed towards those things that families are already doing to connect the dots between FAITH LEARNING and FAITH LIVING?
We hope you will make an effort to build bridges between all six areas this year!
Keep Learning!
CATECHETICAL FORMATION
Our online Catechist Formation sessions resume this Fall! We invite you to register for an afternoon or evening of networking and training with fellow catechists, from the comfort of your own home! The sessions are free and open to professional staff, volunteers and parents/grandparents!
