MPH Fall Capstone Proposals
PBHL 7800
MPH FALL CAPSTONE PROPOSALS
October 23 – November 23
ALL MPH students Graduating in Spring 2021. Signed Capstone proposals will be due NO LATER than November 23 at 5pm. You will not be cleared to register for PBHL 7800 until the proposal has been approved by a faculty member first, and the MPH program coordinator (mumbi@uga.edu) last. If you are unsure about this process, please download the capstone manual, read it, and then make an appointment to speak with your advisor prior to this deadline (you may begin discussions during course advising). Make sure all signatures are either PDF electronic signatures, scanned/emailed, OR include the approver in your email communication for a signature-free approval process. Unsigned or unapproved proposals will not be accepted.
If you plan on graduating in Summer 2021 and choose not to submitted your proposal this fall, you must also do so by April 1st. These deadlines will not be extended.
Links to the Capstone Manual, the Proposal, as well as sample Capstones can be found on our website and Google Drive. To fill out the PDF forms you need the most current version of Adobe. Problems with printing, saving, or completing the form are almost always an issue with students using an outdated version of Adobe. You can also download and save your own PDF or Word versions from our Google Drive.
FYI, all UGA students have access to Zoom Video Conferencing, which would be a great way to meet with your Capstone Reader and finalize your proposal. You must access it at https://uga.zoom.us with your myid.

Student Study/Space Locator
OVPI is pleased to announce the launch of an online interactive map to help students, and the entire campus community, to find places to study, connect to an online class, or sit for a while between on-campus classes. Faculty may find this map useful to discover outside venues to hold a class.
Places include both interior and exterior locations. Interior spaces are provided as a list of study-specific and other open-seating areas within select buildings and include recommended Fall 2020 capacities and other descriptive features. The exterior spaces are searchable by filters including features such as: area of campus, seating types, and distance from current location.
Formatted for both desktop and mobile devices, the map default is set to geo-locate users with GPS enabled devices.
Please note that this resource is a work in progress. Contact the site admin to request modifications.

UGA is an expansive campus with many beautiful, and sometimes hidden, outdoor and indoor spaces. Discover a new favorite place to study or take a break.
Dawg Check
All faculty, staff and students are asked to check their symptoms using DawgCheck before coming to campus each day. DawgCheck is an online tool to help assess and respond to COVID-19 cases at UGA in an effort to keep the campus community safe. DawgCheck consists of a reporting function which must be used by anyone who has received a positive COVID-19 test result, as well as a symptom checking questionnaire which we request everyone respond to before coming to campus or leaving your residence hall in the morning.
An FAQ on how and when to use DawgCheck is available here: https://dawgcheck.uga.edu/support/
