Epic Field Trip opportunities
Hello,
My name is Megan Beardslee, and I am the Youth Events Manager at Epicenter Sports and Entertainment in Santa Rosa, CA. I wanted to share some information with you to consider for your 2019-2020 school year. If you are not the correct person to contact, please accept my apology in advance and let me know if I should reach out to another individual.
Epicenter is the North Bay’s largest all-in-one destination for sports, fitness, and entertainment that takes fun and excitement to a whole new level. Packed with a unique mix of attractions built for kids of all ages—indoor sports, bowling lounge, trampoline park, arcade, advanced laser tag arena, multi-sensory adventure ride, interactive kids play area, and more —Epicenter delivers 130,000 square feet of fun, food, and fitness, all conveniently located under one roof.
Our field trip package is heavily discounted to be affordable for schools and focuses on students being active while having fun! We have structured activities that typically run between 11am and 2:30pm (with flexibility when needed for transportation) for groups of 20 or more participants, though we have made exceptions for smaller groups. We can work with most budgets if you would like to see about modifying the field trip package as well, though this pricing does allow for the best selection of entertainment activities.
Dates are already booking for dates in the fall, winter and through April, May and June of 2020 – please let me know of a date you might be interested in so I can let you know if it is available.
I sincerely hope that you will consider choosing Epicenter for your students! Please let me know if you have any questions, otherwise I will be looking forward to your response.
Kind regards,
Megan Beardslee

Leadership Team Update
PTA Staff Discretionary Funds update
Thank you all for such a fun start to the school year! We are sharing our Staff Discretionary Funds tracking sheet with you for reference on how much money you are allowed and how much you have spent. The view only document is located here and will be updated when reimbursement checks are issued. In general, full-time staff receive $500 and part-time staff receive $250. If you are a new teacher or change grade levels, you receive an extra $250 (if a full-time teacher) or $125 (if a part-time teacher). This year, half of the allotted money is available for reimbursement pre Jog A Thon, with the full amount available post Jog A Thon as long as our school wide goal is met.
To be reimbursed you need to complete a Request for Reimbursement Form located in the manilla envelope in the PTA box in the office (now located on top of the black file cabinet behind Yesenia) or here. This is an updated version of the Reimbursement Form from the CA PTA website so it may look slightly different than last year's form. Original receipts need to be attached in order to be processed. Completed forms and attached receipts can be turned into the PTA inbox. I wish we could accept receipts sent to me via email, but as a non-profit our accounting rules are strict and must be adhered to. We are doing our best to return payment within two weeks. However, payments require 3 signatures and we are all volunteers doing our best! Checks will be placed in an envelope in your box in the office, unless otherwise arranged.
Please contact me if you have any questions at fopptatreas@gmail.com. Thank you for everything you do!
