StanWyck Productions Youth Theatre

Join us for our 16th Summer Season!

This year we are proudly presenting the world debut of Dirty Laundry, a musical especially written for us by StanWyck "graduates" Jeffrey Mathews & Jordan Louis Fischer (who will also be directing for us). Dirty Laundry, which will be performed by the 12-18 age group, already includes all our traditions: references to characters from past shows, a chase scene, and a special role for Captain Barnaby!

The 8-12 age group will be presenting a wonderful short musical entitled The Best Little Theater in Town (check out a description here and/or watch someone else's performance of it here). It promises to be great fun! We are delighted to welcome Olivia Poppleton and Casey Churches to our directorial staff this year to work with this age group.

Audition Requirements

We welcome performers ages 8-18! Please bring a SHORT selection to sing that shows us your voice. If you do not have anything prepared, we will pick something for you (we've been known to have our auditioners sing "Happy Birthday" or "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" or the like.) Remember, though - being prepared shows us that you're really interested! We will have people available to play the piano, so bringing along sheet music is great. You may also bring CDs of accompaniment tracks - however, we will not allow you to sing along with a song that includes vocals (except background vocals on a karaoke track). We want to hear YOUR voice! You may also sing without accompaniment (a cappella) if you prefer.

You should also expect to be asked to read from a script excerpt which the StanWyck staff will provide for you. If you wish to prepare a monologue, you may, but it is certainly not required.

See you there!
