Bright Network - Internship Experiences Open Now!
Gain an introduction to the workplace this summer through Bright Network's internship experience programme!
Bright Network have teamed up with leading employers and industry experts to deliver a range of work experience programmes for students and graduates. These internship experiences are free and fully virtual, meaning you can take part from anywhere around the world. Sectors include technology, investment banking, professional services, marketing, consulting and law.
As part of the 3-day prgramme, you will get:
- Sector-focused skills workshops delivered by leading employers
- Set project work to simulate what you’d do on an internship
- Support, insight and guidance from the firms and recent graduates
- Networking opportunities with your cohort of internship experience participants
- A certificate on completion which you can add to your CV and LinkedIn

Employability Skills Series - Week 1: Commercial Awareness
The graduate job market is highly competitive, meaning employers can and will look for more ways to set applicants apart. Developing your soft skills is a crucial part of making yourself more employable, which is why HSBC have designed these workshops to target the most in-demand skills fit for the current climate, useful for all students no matter their career intentions!
Commercial awareness is one of the greatest contributing skills to job search success and the transition from education into a professional environment. Whether you want to found your own business or work in a large corporate, commercial awareness is something which you need to develop.
This hour-long workshop is will help you understand what commercial awareness actually is, both on a small and large scale, alongside helping you to begin building this essential life skill.

Introducing the Class of 2020 group on Saint Connect!
We want our graduates to be able to celebrate together, no matter where in the world they may be - that's why we're launching a special group on Saint Connect just for that! Our Class of 2020 group is a place for all of our graduates to connect, celebrate and look forward to life after University.
In these uncertain times, it has never been more important to support one an other as we transition out of University and into the working world. We'll be using this group to share the latest opportunities, updates and advice for our graduating class - as well as a few surprises to help you celebrate in style, the virtual way!

OpenLearn - Free Online Courses You Can Start Today!
The courses are available to start at any time, and can be completed at your own pace. Upon completion, you will be awarded a certificate stating your participation.
There are around 1000 modules to choose from within:
- Health, Sports and Psychology
- History and The Arts
- Languages
- Nature and Environment
- Science, Maths and Technology
- Society, Politics and Law
Online courses are a great way to spend your time developing your skills, and to show employers that you are able to take initiative to learn new things.

Prospect's Post-Pandemic Postgraduate Study Fair
Are you thinking about further study after University?
Prospect's virtual postgraduate study fair gives you the chance to meet and talk to universities offering world-class courses.
By taking part you'll find out about the excellent facilities and services institutions have to offer and the different study methods available. And if you need some help deciding whether further study is right for you, course leaders will be on hand and happy to talk through your options at the event.
As part of the fair Prospect's will also be running a webinar on ‘Postgraduate post-pandemic’, which will hopefully help you to make more informed decisions about your next steps!

You will get to:
- Provide administrative support to one of the Editorial Teams (Traditional Journals, Open Access Journals, Books or Product Innovation)
- Write copy, such as blurbs or catalogue content
- Undertake research on markets and for tenders and launches
- Support Social Media Strategies
- Help customers with queries, in a client-facing role
