ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL NEWS
AVID ~ Informal study groups are a form of cooperative learning. Scholars may find it helpful to organize in small groups to review class materials and study for exams. Being informal, these groups allow scholars to come and go as they please. Here are some tips for studying in informal groups:
Set a mutually agreed upon meeting time, and encourage group members to come prepared.
Create goals for each session and keep your group focused and on track.
Maintain a friendly exchange of information, it's okay if someone doesn't have an answer.
Allow for some wait time between questions, or work through the material together.
While there is no set number for group size, we suggest keeping the group small.
Stay positive and help each other learn the class material.
TEACHER APPRECIATION ~ May 6-10 is National Teacher Appreciation Week! To show our fantastic teachers how much we appreciate them, please complete this 2019 Online High School Teacher Appreciation Form and share your message of appreciation with your teachers.
