ACE and Quinlan ISD Police Department are excited to announce the R.A.D System
New and Exciting ideas coming to ACE
DC Cannon and TMS ACE Site Coordinators Nancy Johns and Tonya Kramer attended the national Beyond School Hours conference recently. These ladies gained valuable insight and were able to see first hand into other after school programs in other areas.
A.E. Butler and FHS ACE Site Coordinators Jackie Arellano and Tawanna Pumphrey attended the National AfterSchool Association Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. They brought back many new and exciting ideas for the students at their campuses.
D.C. Cannon Elementary School
These students are excited about learning all about vocabulary words with this fun game! They get a vocabulary word, roll a giant dice and move that many spaces. Then they must follow the directions on the card. Examples: use the word in a sentence, answer how many syllables does the word have, give the definition of the word. This is just one of the many games that our ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE students work on. They are making great gains in reading! Keep up the fun learning! Thanks Mrs. Barnes for engaging these students in learning in a up and moving way!
D.C. Cannon Elementary School Student of the Month
Peyton Reddout is our amazing and awesome Student of the Month for DC Cannon. She loves ACE! She comes into our afternoon program every day with a smile and eager to see what is in store for the day! She looks forward to the games we play in math and can't wait to read the book of the week. She is first to volunteer to help others in our math games or to partner read with someone in the class. She loves to tell others why she loves ACE and how it has helped her to be a better student in her classroom. She has really bloomed in her two years of ACE and we are all so proud of her. A huge shout-out to our special Student of the Month-Peyton Reddout! Keep up your amazing attitude and work!- Nancy Johns, DC Cannon ACE Site Coordinator-

Snow Cones for 30 days of ACE!
As an incentive for our students who have successfully attended our Butler ACE program for 30 days were invited to our ACE Snow Cone Party. Our students loved this great incentive and have requested to get snow cones every day, haha! We would also like to thank our FES Mrs. Hayley Murphy and our ACE teacher Ms. Lola Carpenter on helping Ms. Jackie help serve our wonderful students! We absolutely love our ACE students! Congratulations to our Butler ACE 30 dayers!

A.E. Butler Intermediate School Employee of the Month
Our teacher of the month is Mr. Tommy Underwood! Mr. Underwood wears many hats and capes around here. During the day Mr. Underwood is the Executive Director for QISD. In the afternoon he is the one who shuttles all of our ACE students to and from all of the campuses so that they can attend events at the DOJO for karate or at another campus. You will never see a frown on his face because he always has a smile on his face. Another role Mr. Underwood plays for ACE is that he is a certified NASP instructor for our Butler Archery students. He holds his Archery classes on Monday and Wednesdays with our selected 4th and 5th graders. So from sunup to sundown, Mr. Underwood breathes QISD. He is such a huge asset to our ACE program! Congratulations, Mr. Underwood!-Jackie Arellano, Butler ACE Site Coordinator-

Ford High School
Ford High School Student of the Month
Student of the Month for Ford High School's ACE Program is Joseph Shanklin, also known as Joey. Joey is fun to be around, always laughing and having a good time. He is also very helpful. He is constantly doing things to help others. Just today, he cleaned a cafeteria table by himself. Joey's happy attitude spreads to others in the ACE program and that's why he deserves student of the month, because he spreads happiness.-Tawanna Pumphrey Ford High School ACE Site Coordinator-
