The Saxon STEM School of Excellence is place of high technological intellect and a center for intelligent students to channel their genius towards gaining valuable skills needed for the careers and pathways. We set the higher standard in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math, in order to help set our students on the right track to success through collaboration and a challenging environment. Our logo and mascot, the eagle, displays the colors of yellow and royal blue, symbolizing the intelligence, skill, and energy in the learning environment.

Mission: Our purpose as a school of technological advancement is to develop students into intuitive and intelligent citizens of the world through the attentive teaching in our dynamic and challenging environment.

Located as a Public, Charter Institute

We are located in the city of Boise, Idaho as a new addition to the need for STEM schools in the area. Students around the area can apply for admission through a selection-based, application test.

Scheduling and Structure

The Saxon STEM Academy of Excellence is structured around a 4x4 block schedule. This is to ensure that adequate time is given to the teacher to assign and also discuss classwork and activities, and also the student, for them to have time to understand and apply the skills taught through labs and projects. There will also be frequent visits by company leaders to the school for them to give first-hand knowledge on their professions and also offer multiple internship opportunities.

Schedule Sample: Schedules will be divided up into 4 classes and courses for each semester. There will be two semesters for the school year, following from August to May, and 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. The school days will follow from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, with time after school for extracurricular activities.

7:00-7:30: Morning free time and daily announcements

7:30-9:00: First Block

9:00-10:30: Second Block

10:30-1:00: Third Block with a 1 hour lunch period in between

1:00-2:30: Fourth Block

2:30-3:00: Mandatory time period for academic work and other activities before clubs and sports

Our Courses and Activities

This school offers a wide variety of classes, extracurricular activities, and pathways to cater to the student's needs. This includes pure STEM courses, and normal, academic classes (Language Arts, Social Studies, and Music) will also be implemented with STEM: audio technology, histories of scientific and engineering ideas, and SPIRE classes. There are also multiple clubs and sports to join, such as robotics, debate, academic quiz team, DECA, beta club, habitat for humanity, football, soccer, and basketball.
