Hendricks Happenings

March 2021

Dear Hendricks Families,

Happy March!

We are so excited to start seeing flowers and trees bloom! It means spring is in the air, and we are getting closer to opening Hendricks Middle School!!

If you haven't driven by Hendricks lately, check out the pictures below! The building phase is getting close to completion, and then begins the technology and furniture installations. We do not have a move-in date as of yet and that's ok! I want to make sure we have everything ready to go for our ribbon cutting in July!

As for staffing, I hope you have been following our social media and website pages. We are 99% staffed to open in the fall! These teachers bring a variety of experiences, and their passion and enthusiasm for building this new community is amazing! Our instructional coach, Mrs. Penni Arner, has already begun working with our content leads on teambuilding and instructional coaching for our new staff. Mrs. Dana Reid, AA and Coach Chuck Shadburn, MTSS Coordinator are making plans with our feeder schools to ensure that we have a support plan in place for our students.

As we prepare for our new adventure at Hendricks Middle School, we hope that you look at spring as a new beginning, an opportunity to take a risk and become part of the FIRST Classes of Hendricks Middle School! Information will be coming soon about ways you and your student can be memorialized as part of the inaugural year at Hendricks Middle School.

Hawks Football

The coaches and I were excited to meet our new Hendricks Hawks! We have been working on gathering information that is necessary for us to begin meeting and working out to prepare for our inaugural football season! Below is our workout schedule for March. We understand that due to other commitments you might not be able to make all of the workouts. We hope to see you at the ones where you are available. Your child MUST have an approved physical on file in order to participate. Please click the link below to see how to acquire a physical and/or upload it onto DragonFly. DragonFly is the program that we will use as a school to keep up with our sports physicals. If you have a current physical on file at Liberty, Vickery, or Otwell, we can use that, but you still need to create an account in DragonFly for when the current physical expires. If you have any questions, please contact me, or our Athletic Director, Jenn Davies.
