Reading and Writing

We will be reading Fairy Tales with a Texas twist this week to go along with our Science and Social Studies unit about Texas.

Students will compare the Texas version of the fairy tale with the original and hopefully write a Texas fairy tale of their own.

We will learn to measure this week using non-standard units (clips, cubes, inchworms). Students will describe and compare the length of objects to the nearest whole unit.

We will learn about the Great State of Texas. On Monday and Tuesday we will learn about the anthem, motto, and Texas pledge. Starting on Wednesday, we will learn about the symbols of Texas.
