February Update
Parents,
KSD BOND - March 14 is an important election in our school district.
Voters are asked to consider a bond to fund the first phase of our 10-year building plan.
CP Parent April Waters and I sat down with Brian Graves of the Kuna School District office to talk about what the March 14 Bond means for Crimson Point Elementary and for your children's future in our schools.
You can watch the interview at this link: https://youtu.be/rUj4C-CPOYo
Getting Involved - The No. 1 way to get involved is to vote in one of three ways:
- Request a mail-in ballot today
- Vote early from Feb. to March 3 at Kuna City Hall or other locations
- Vote election day March 14
Parent Group - A group of parents and community members -- including Crimson Point's April Waters and Heather Nielson -- are working to get information out. Please reach out to them if you want to help get information out in the few short weeks before the March 14 election.
More information is on our website
Please reach out if you are interested in having a phone conversation or setting up an in-person appointment to answer any of your questions about the district's 10-year plan or more specifically this first phase.
Respectfully,
Mr. Jensen

February Family Activity
Hit the road
When it comes to family reading time activities, feel free to take them on the road! If you struggle to find the time to read together at home between work, school, and extracurriculars, consider turning your commute into an educational opportunity. For instance, you could play the license plate game where the person who finds the most plates from different states or countries in a set time earns the most points. Another variation of this game is to invent funny sentences with words that begin with the letters you see on a plate. For example, GBD107 could be “Girls Buy Donuts.”
You could also look for road signs with words and work together to come up with as many rhyming words as possible. If you’re on a long road trip, take turns pronouncing all the cities you pass. As you select the games to play on the road, be sure to adjust the rules based on your child’s reading and comfort level.
