September is Suicide Prevention & Awareness Month
Important Dates
September 2 & 5 -- No School (Labor Day)
September 8 -- College/Military Opportunity Night @ 6pm-8pm (Juniors/Seniors)

College Visits (Naviance)
You can find future College Visits on your Naviance account. Please register for any you would like and plan on attending. If you're unsure of where to find your Naviance account -- when you're logged into your Google account, go to the 'waffle' in the top right hand corner and scroll down until you see 'Naviance'. It will use your Google account to log you in. If you have any issues, please contact your counselor (email located below).

September 21 -- East Carolina University
September 23 -- Washington and Lee University
September 26 -- Randolph College and High Point University
September 27 -- James Madison University

Other College Information
- University of Virginia is hosting an open house for prospective students who will be the first in their family to attend college! Hoos First will be Saturday September 24.
- James Madison University is hosting an open house for a first-hand look at what makes the Madison Experience so special. To join them on Saturday September 24, please go here.
- John Hopkins University will be hosting 'Senior Visit Days' throughout October. For more information, please go here.
- Longwood University will be having an open house on Saturday October 15 from 10am-2:30pm. To register, please go here.
- College Fair at Spotsylvania Towne Center on October 19 from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
- The United States Military Academy, West Point, will be having fall tours from September 6 until November 18. For more information, please go here.
Scholarships (Naviance)
Please check Naviance regularly for scholarship information (which will be added soon).
Naviance is a GREAT tool, so please take some time to look at all it has to offer if you haven't already.
Individual meetings with your Counselor's begin mid-September. Don't fret if someone you know has heard from their counselor but you haven't. There are many of you, so it will take time to get to everyone. Any questions or concerns, please email your counselor (emails are below).
