To be a Medical Lab Technician you are required to have a two-year associate degree, a bachelor's degree with a medical title "Laboratory Scientist/Technician" , and this education has to be through a program that is accredited by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. They also need a license or registered in most states. All have to pass a national certificate exam and be licensed in the state in which they work. The annual payment for a Medical Laboratory Technician is $38,370.
