Numbers Everywhere
Learning Outcomes: Counting and Cardinality
Search for numbers around the house. Look at a clock, magazines, games, toys, TV, or anywhere else you have numbers. Ask your child to look for a specific number. For example, ask your child to find the number 1 and notice how many times it appears in your house.
Why It's Important
Knowing and recognizing numbers will make your child more confident and ready for school.
Not Ready Yet
Encourage your child to find the numbers one through five. You may need to point to the area where the number can be found.
Need a Challenge
Challenge your child to find an exact number. You may need to give hints about the item.
