CAMPUS-WIDE SEL IMPLEMENTATION
Social Emotional Learning has become more prevalent now than ever before. It is necessary for each of us to ensure that not only our physical but our mental well-being is managed daily. DeSoto ISD has partnered with Re-Think Ed as a resource for Social Emotional Learning.
The district has provide us with an SEL Scope & Sequence that we will follow throughout the year. Re-Think Ed provides lesson for each grade level for you to embed into your lessons each week and can be accessed through Classlink.
SEL Focus for the week of is: Self Management
Management of or by oneself; the taking of responsibility for one's own behavior and well-being.
Helping Hand Outreach Drive- Thru Meal Giveaway
The distribution will be contactless and no registration is required!
Attendees will drive up and open the trunk to receive the food items. The giveaway will begin at 9 a.m., and will continue as long as supplies last. For more information, please visit www.fght.org or call 972-572-3448.
Child Nutrition Grab N' Go Meals Update during the Holiday Break
The Holiday Break is quickly approaching, and during this time there will be no meals on campus or regular grab n’ go meal distribution. To ensure that every student stays happy and healthy during the Holiday Break, Chartwells and the DeSoto ISD Child Nutrition Department will be handing out 7 days' worth of meals on Monday, December 21st at DeSoto High School - Freshman Side from 9am - 12pm!
Meals are free for students 18 and under and every student will receive 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, and 7 dinners. The process for the meals will be grab n’ go fashion as normal and the meals will be sent home pre-prepared with heating instructions included.

Pick up is across from the Eagle Stadium. You will see open doors attached to the Freshman Campus Cafeteria and a team member will come to your car. (Note: Pick Up is NOT the freshman campus entrance doors. Signs will be out directing the correct way.)
Note: Regular Grab N' Go Meal Distribution will resume on Monday, January 4th at all pick up locations.
