Fire Prevention Poster

Second Grade just finished a unit on safety. We learned how to stay safe at home and around our neighborhood. We would love to see some of our second graders enter the Fire Prevention Poster Contest and show us some of what they learned!

Flu Season

Flu season is just around the corner. Please remember if your child is sick, he or she must be "fever free" for 24 hours before returning to school. Remind your child that it is very important to wash hands.

Addition Mad Minute Party

Our Mad Minute Party is scheduled for Friday, November 17th. Each time your child passes a Mad Minute test they earn a piece of the party. Here is what they are working for:

Os and 1s - watch a movie

2s - wear slippers

3s - wear pjs

4s - bring a stuffed animal

5s - a cup (keep going...it will make sense)

6s - hot chocolate

7s - marshmallows

8s - whipped cream

9s - chocolate sprinkles

10s - chocolate straw

Remember we have a Mad Minute test every Friday. Your child should be crossing off the facts in their agenda as they go along so that you know what they should be studying each week.

Ask your child what facts they are currently on.

Pumpkin Projects

Our Second Graders did a fantastic job on their Pumpkin Projects! We loved hearing all of the summaries and learning about all the different characters. Everyone enjoyed the great display at the Fall Picnic. Thank you to all the parents who supported their child with this homework project.
