National Library Month
Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,
We are excited to announce that April is National Library Month! This is a special time where we celebrate the importance of libraries and literacy in our lives. Libraries are not just buildings filled with books; they are vibrant community spaces that foster creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
Literacy is a cornerstone of education and personal growth. Reading opens doors to new worlds, expands our knowledge, and enhances our imagination. Libraries play a crucial role in promoting literacy by providing access to a wide range of books and resources for people of all ages.
We are thrilled to share that thanks to the generous support of our PTO and some extra state library funding this year, we have added hundreds of new books to our school library! Our PTO has contributed $1500 towards new books, enriching our collection and offering more reading options for our students.
To make this month even more exciting, we have organized the Suamico Elementary Library Month bingo! This optional, fun activity is a great way for students to explore our library, discover new books, and win some fantastic prizes. Interested students are able to pick up a bingo form in their classroom or in the library.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our PTO for their continuous support and commitment to enhancing our school library. Their contribution has made a significant difference in providing our students with access to quality reading materials.
Let's celebrate National Library Month together by visiting the library, exploring new books, and embracing the joy of reading! Together, we can inspire a love for reading and learning that will last a lifetime.
Happy National Library Month!

School Social Work Corner
School Social Worker Information Corner
Our district team of school social workers has put together a fantastic summary of school and community resources. Our school social worker, Bobbi Nowaczyk (Miss Bobbi), would be happy to communicate with you further if/as/when needed. She can be reached via email at bobbnowa@hssdschools.org; or her cell phone: 920-714-1437.
As we enter into a new fiscal year, we challenge you to ask yourself "what small thing can I do each day to take care of myself so that I can show up for other people"? Oftentimes as caretakers, we get stuck in the "busy" of our child(ren)'s schedules, events, etc. Our hope for you is that you can find something small: whether that is taking 10 minutes to go on a walk, taking 5 extra minutes in the shower, or diving into a book you always wanted to read. Find ONE point of joy in your life.
As always, if you are in need of assistance, support, or coaching from a school social worker, we are here for you every step of the way!
