Shout Outs
*Thank you Mrs Cinatl for your early mornings to ensure all is set for the IB tests!
Please keep posting to recognize your colleagues.
Word of the Week - Parameter
REMINDER: Each week we give six students a backpack with a gift certificate in it when they can tell us the word, what it means and use it correctly in a sentence.
Please post the word of the week green paper in your classroom.
Last week's winners for retain were: Michael Avina (12), Destina Camerana (12), Meghan Garcia (12) and Victor Salas (10)
Please take a minute to recognize these students if you have them in your class.
Information and Updates: Friday, May 20th Jill B. and PTO Staff Luncheon
Please congratulate the Students of the Month: Jackie Munoz and Norman Lucero!
Tuesday, the IB program K-12 will present to the school board at Front and Center. We begin in the district office board room at 6:30 p.m.
Also, at the board meeting, our students will present their report to the board. They have created a video of the year in review. Please come by and support our students and our school. You do not have to stay for the entire meeting.
Jill Bromenschsenkel will be here on Friday. This is your final opportunity this year to work with her and your colleagues in an organized setting. The goals for Friday are:
1. To share your findings with each other
2. Improve a current lesson or project, and create another one.
Be sure to bring with you one digital integration project you tried in your classroom since your March meeting. This is mandatory professional development. Please see me if you have any questions.
Also on Friday, the PTO will host a staff appreciation luncheon in the Culinary Dining Room. Please join our PTO and each other for lunch, conversation, and community.
We are coming to the end of AP and IB Testing for this year. Please continue to avoid the new and main gyms as our students take their culminating exams.

Professional Development Time - Specialized Academic Programs
Please plan ahead and know where your team meets before Tuesday morning. You should be talking about any students who might need an extra push before finals. More conversation ideas: any program needs or improvements and thoughts about next year. Finally: how can your team improve student achievement? What DOK Level 3 lessons have you presented and how did your students do? What evidence do you have to support your claim?
