Hands-on Learning Returns to DTEC!

Now that we've returned to in-person learning using the hybrid schedule, students at DTEC are getting back to what they know and love.....hands-on, work-based learning! As we've had the opportunity to visit all programs and observe lab activities, it has been so exciting to see students hard at work, applying the skills they've learned. Whether it's sparks flying in our Norco Welding Lab, a soldering iron in the Mechatronics Lab, or the smell Bondo being applied in Auto Collision....it is truly inspiring to see our students back in the building.

Monday Schedule Adjustment

Mondays will continue to be virtual for all students at DTEC, however our schedule is going to be adjusted for that day. DTEC classes will meet virtually according to the following schedule on Mondays beginning on November 9th:

1st Block: 9:15-10:42

2nd Block: 10:47-12:09

3rd Block: 1:40-3:12

**Again, this schedule only applies to Mondays. We will continue our current hybrid schedule for Tuesday-Friday with no changes.

December Scheduling Note

December

Please note the following:

  • Friday, December 18th will be a Regular Schedule without an Early Release.

  • Monday, December 21st and Tuesday, December 22nd will be Early Release schedules at the home high schools. Because of that shortened schedule, students will attend their home high school in-person on their scheduled day but will not attend DTEC in-person. Instead, students will remain at their home high schools and participate in DTEC classes virtually due to the half day schedule.
