I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break!

Before the break, we had the opportunity to recognize our Mighty Mustangs during our monthly Mustang Stampede, celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, and have students shoot baskets for cash. We want to thank all of you for the many kind acts of appreciation shown to our teachers and staff before the break...they felt very loved, so thank you! We would like to give a special thank-you to Kelli Oswald, who has chaired Teacher Appreciation Week. We know she spent hours organizing this week and we are grateful for her incredible leadership and organization.

We have several important events upon us:

1. Today is your final opportunity to order yearbooks. Yearbooks will not be for sale in the office and were not for sale at the beginning of the year. Yearbooks can only be purchased online. See the ordering link and details below.
   
2. Online Registration for Current Nebo families is open (https://www.nebo.edu/registration). Online Registration for New-to-Nebo Families opens today.
   
3. Track Meet Dates: 5th Grade- April 27th; 4th Grade- May 4th; 3rd Grade-May 11th
4. End of Year Testing: End-of-year testing has, or will, begin soon. We have found that students typically do much better with their testing when they test with their class. Teachers should be sending a scheduled home with their testing times so that you know when those dates will be. These scores are utilized by our staff to better understand the impact of our teaching.
5. Congratulations to Lacey Miller for winning our March Madness bracket challenge!

Familia Mustang,

¡Espero que todos hayan tenido unas maravillosas vacaciones de primavera!

Antes del receso, tuvimos la oportunidad de reconocer a nuestros Mighty Mustangs durante nuestra Mustang Stampede mensual, celebrar la Semana de agradecimiento a los maestros y hacer que los estudiantes disparen canastas para ganar dinero. Queremos agradecerles a todos ustedes por los muchos actos amables de agradecimiento mostrados a nuestros maestros y personal antes del descanso... se sintieron muy amados, ¡así que gracias! Nos gustaría dar un agradecimiento especial a Kelli Oswald, quien presidió la Semana de Agradecimiento a los Maestros. Sabemos que pasó horas organizando esta semana y estamos agradecidos por su increíble liderazgo y organización.

Tenemos varios eventos importantes sobre nosotros:

4. Pruebas de fin de año: Las pruebas de fin de año han comenzado o comenzarán pronto. Hemos encontrado que los estudiantes suelen hacer mucho mejor sus exámenes cuando lo hacen con su clase. Los maestros deben enviar a casa un programa con los horarios de las pruebas para que sepa cuándo serán esas fechas. Nuestro personal utiliza estos puntajes para comprender mejor el impacto de nuestra enseñanza.

The PTA would like to thank all of the Meadow Brook parents that did so much to make Teacher Appreciation Week a huge success! Thank you to everyone that decorated doors, contributed to treats and meals, and volunteered in the classroom to give teachers a well deserved extended lunch break. We are especially grateful for Kelli Oswald, our Teacher Appreciation Chair, for her weeks of planning and hours of work. Meadow Brook has one of the best Teacher Appreciation Weeks among all of the elementary schools in Springville and Mapleton because of Kelli's efforts and our incredible school community.

Our next PTA meeting is tomorrow, April 12 at 10:30 AM. We will be finalizing plans for our last PTA events of the year and voting on our new Executive Board for the 2022-2023 school year.

Teacher Appreciation Week

April's PTA meeting will be held after we return from Spring Break on Tuesday, April 12 at 10:30 AM. This will be the last meeting of the year that involves planning and voting.

• We are working hard to teach students to use the crosswalks. We are concerned about the number of students running across the pick-up lanes and parking lots. If you can help us teach your children about this that would be great!
