A Letter from Principal Dwyer
Dear DuJardin School Community,
Illinois Assessment for Readiness (IAR) testing for students in third through fifth grades begins Monday, May 17th and will continue through Wednesday, May 19th, (makeup testing will take place starting May 20th). Here is a checklist to help your child do his or her best on these tests:
1. Ensure that your child attends school on the days of testing;
2. Ensure that your child gets a good night’s sleep on the nights before testing;
3. Providing a healthy breakfast, snack, and lunch on the days of testing;
4. Remind your child to ask questions if he/she does not understand the test directions;
5. Let your child know that you have confidence in his/her ability to do his/her best;
6. Advise your child not to worry about the test – just do the best he/she can do.
Click this link https://www.isbe.net/Pages/IAR.aspx for additional information about the IAR assessments. If you have any further questions about IAR testing or need additional information concerning these state assessments, please call Mr. Dwyer at 630-894-9200.

Westfield Drama Presents KING MIDAS: Live Stream Today (5/6) @ 7:00 PM
Dear District #13:
We would like to invite you and your families to join us tomorrow night for our production of King Midas and the Touch of Gold! The show starts at 7:00 PM and you can access the live stream, using your @sd13.org account, at this link. In addition, we will be holding a Q and A immediately following the show, so if you have any questions or comments for the cast/crew, please enter them here.
Here is the program, so that you can see which of your current/former students are participating.
This will be Mrs. Bringer's final production at Westfield. Fun Fact: this was also the very first production that she worked on at the start of her D13 career. We have several members of the first production returning to help with this show, who will be present for the Q and A. (Laura Reece (king), Andy Greskoviak (citizen #1), Missy Mills (Chloe), Kryssi Uhl (Shepherdess), Sara Eagleton (spot light) and Andrea Pierie (Student director).
So set a reminder on your phone and we hope that you will be watching!!! I can guarantee your experience will be GOLDEN!!!
