Chamber Lock In

Our Chamber Choir had our annual Lock-In last Friday. Between games, rehearsing, and dinner, Chamber had a blast! Our Chamber choir is a smaller ensemble that has additional performance and travel opportunities throughout the year. These students are enrolled in 2 periods of choir a day

TMEA All-State Auditions

District Auditions are next Saturday, September 16 at Oak Ridge High School. Next week is the final week for our district audition candidates to prepare for the first round of all-state. District Audition students and parents, a Remind message to the KHS TMEA group has been sent full of information about next Saturday to ensure everyone is ready. You can also find this info document in button below.

District Barrier Auditions (9/12-14)

Each singer auditioning at District must sing off their music for Mr. Stultz and/or Mrs. Berger. To ensure we can hear every singer participating, barrier auditions may occur during class time in addition to being held after school.

District Audition students, keep up the hard work as you spend the final week preparing your music!

Handbook/Calendar Form & Choir Fee

Our Handbook/Calendar Form and Fee are Due this upcoming Thursday, September 14. We still have a few students who have not turned in their Handbook/Calendar acknowledgment form. If you have not done so, please see Mr. Stultz or Mrs. Berger during class to take care of that.The mandatory choir fee ($55) can only be paid through school cash.

Treble Choir Rehearsal

The treble choirs from Kleb Intermediate will combine with all of our treble singers for a joint performance at our Fall Concert on September 26. This includes KHS choirs members in Bella Voce (4th period), Liederkranz (5th period), and all sopranos/altos in Chorale (3rd period). To prepare for this collaboration, we are holding a mandatory rehearsal for all who are involved on Thursday, September 21 from 5-7:30pm in the KHS Choir room.

This event is more than just a rehearsal. The evening will include music, games, and pizza! Our singers involved will also receive their Treble Choir t-shirt that day.

Formal Choir Uniform Info

Don't forget to secure the following uniform components listed below. Our concerts are major exam grades for choir students, and being in the correct uniform correlates with their grade. If you need any assistance in finding the correct items, please email Mr. Stultz or Mrs. Berger.

Dresses - black, closed-toed, comfortable dress shoes are also needed for our performances. Flats or character shoes are preferred.
Tuxedos - a white tuxedo shirt, black dress shoes, black bowtie, and black cummerbund are also needed for our performances. You can get most of these items in a bundle on Amazon HERE.

Choir Spirit Night at Double Dave's Pizza

Our Booster Club has organized our first spirit night of the year for Monday, September 25 at Double Dave's Pizza (7312 Louetta Rd) from 5-9pm. Stop by for some dinner that night and mention Klein High Choir! This acts as one of several spirit night fundraisers for our choir program. We would appreciate your support!
