Message From The Principal

Westbrook Families,

We are very excited to be moving forward with Literacy Night here at Westbrook. We have over 30 certified staff members that will be providing fun and engaging literacy activities throughout the evening. Our Westbrook book fair will also be open to families this evening and the Glenview Public library will be here to sign up families for a library card. We are asking that all families fill out the following Google Form to help with our planning here at Westbrook! Thank you in advance for taking the time to fill this out!

From Westbrook Literacy Coach - Mandy Freer

Whether your child is reading his/her own book or you are reading a book together, these are some questions you can ask your child to help them think deeper about their books. Kids love to talk about books, so encourage your child to share their thoughts, ideas and predictions as you read. These are helpful habits that we want to create in our readers!
