Mrs. Walters' News
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to attend our fall conferences. We appreciate partnering with you to create a spectacular experience for your children at Bushnell! If you have any questions or need more information, don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher.
We had the FARM science lab visit school this week. [see pictures below] The FARM science lab is a mobile teaching unit with grade level lessons geared to developing an understanding of where our food comes from. The first grade students planted seeds and learned about the plant cycle. The kindergarten students learned about grocery items and all the products grown and distributed to create the food we eat. Thanks to our Lowell Education Foundation grant and Kelly Wilson for bringing this opportunity to our students.
A small weather reminder- It is often chilly in the mornings and a little warmer in the afternoon. Please dress your children in layers so they are prepared for any weather Michigan will throw at us this time of year!
A drop off reminder: please do not park your car along the curb in the morning. The line of cars needs to keep moving along in an efficient way. Also, please drive slowly and carefully through the parking lot. Many children are walking in this area and we certainly don't want anyone to be injured.
Have a fun fall weekend everyone!

PTO
We started out the week by taking our Bear and Champs on the Run Top Earners to Heidi's Farm stand! We conquered the JR Maze and tried to conquer the big maze. We may not have done that but we had lots of fun. We ended the trip with donuts, cider and pizza! Thank you to all the hard work that all students put in for the walk-a-thon. We are so proud of each and every one of you!
We continued the week with conferences and providing meals to our teachers at both schools. Thank you to all the parents that contributed delicious food and beverages!
